Close to Home

A relaxing day spent in the garden in the morning.  Pied Flycatcher, Black Redstart and Subalpine Warbler all came for a drink in the hot sunshine and a pair of Red-rumped Swallows frolicked overhead.  I tried out my new macro lens on a handsome Blue Carpenter Bee.

I took a brief drive around but found little except a Common Redstart at Le Buoys and about a dozen Crag Martins at Minerve.

This evening 41 Rock Sparrows gathered on power lines before going to roost.
