Female Montagu's Harrier |
All day in the garden cutting grass, removing dead trees and plants and replanting. The day started with a Hoopoe singing nearby. Later 2 Short-toed Eagles flew together over the garden. They could of course still be migrants but it was nice to hope they were our local breedin pair. The only other bird of note was a splendid female Montagu's Harrier hunting the lucerne fields in our little valley.
